Description
A broadside collaboration between author Elizabeth George and artist Adell Donaghue. Published by Simian Press. This broadside is printed on Rives BFK white paper in the Bembo typeface using photo polymer plates. Liz’s piece of short fiction, How Metaphor Killed the Dragon is printed using letterpress. Adell’s Black Fish with Blue Dragon image is reproduced digitally from an original monoprint on Moab Entrada rag paper. Two colophons are included with the broadside: a vellum sleeve embossed with the Simian Press studio logo and a second colophon (suitable for framing), printed on Moab Entrada rag paper. Framing suggestions are included with the broadside.
A suite of thirteen prints are planned for The Fish Broadsides series. Each fish image is a facsimile of one of the monoprints or monotypes from Adell Donaghue’s My Fishies series.
