Description
The first woodblock print in a series of three, My Pyrrhic Victory! by Adell Donaghue is carved in cherry plywood and printed on Kitakata and Gampi papers. The image for the block was created from a composite of thirteen drawings completed by the artist between 2012 and 2018. The block was carved in 2018. The first prints in the edition were pulled on the “Big Tuna Press” at the Dedee Shattuck Gallery in Westport, MA in June, 2018, in conjunction with Big Ink. A Varied Edition of 35 prints were pulled, with some prints hand colored. 6 prints are available.
